Each year, we showcase activities that have taken place over the past 12 months, which engage with the themes of forced displacement and resettlement. Festival31 has a main showcasing period each year, the first day coincides with the first day of National Refugee Week in June.
During the showcasing period, we will highlight a selection of activities contributed by the Festival31 community. Additionally, we will be featuring artists in residence, exhibitions, and performances.
We are committed to supporting low- or no-cost activities that enable individuals from across our communities to access art and cultural events and activities.
Festival31 has an ethos of enabling, empowering, and inclusivity. Submissions that do not align with these principles will not be included in the festival program.
